Predator Broke?
#1
I have had a predator in my 2003 Gmc for about 4 weeks now. I put there normal program in and then went into modifying parameters and changed the shift pressure and shift adaptation. I was very happy with the performance and gas mileage change. Well today I went back into modifying parameters to change the size of tires that I put on and also raise the shift points (rpm). It gave me a bunch of errors when I tried to install the file. Script error, writing error. Well I took the program out and restored it to my stock GM program and that worked fine. I then tried to reprogram it putting the stock predator program back in and I got the same errors. What do it do now? I followed the instructions. Besides the first time I programed it, it worked fine. Is my program bad? The programer has always been in the house not left in the weather so how could it go bad. Any help would be appreciated?

I have the predator and it's done the same thing.Ihad to try it 3 times in a row but it finally worked.
I have had no problems since. Not really sure why the errors come up but if try installing or modifying the program and get error codes the 1st time you try it ,try it again. I only had error codes once. I hope that helps.

Yeah, mine has done that a few times, then once it installed the shift points, but not the pressure, then it left the speed limiter on, even though I had it set to 125, it came on at 100. I found that I would just put the stock program in. Turn off the truck for a few minutes, then start over. I also noticed that only when it was pretty hot out, did it have problems!

Mine done that. Install the stock diablo tune and unplug the unit. Let it sit for awhile. And try adjusting the settings. It worked for me. And dont make any quick changes. Always wait a few seconds between pressing buttons.

Oh, yeah, I forgot that I reset the predator. You can do that from your computer, and going into the options. That is if you have the hummer interface! And yeah, I forgot that it only worked after I set everything back to the stock setting that the predator came with, then more carefully took my time and set my settings back the way I liked them. But like I said, it did this twice, and only when the temperature outside was over 100 degrees. I think the computer doesn't transfer the info as well when it is hot outside. I had to set my computer back to stock, then the next day I reset the predator, and installed it in the morning when it was cool outside, then it worked fine. I was just about to send mine back also.
