youve got to be kidding me...
So I just bought a 2010 silverado crew cab with a 4.8. This is my second truck ive ever owned since my 1988 gmc ext. cab 1500. I just cant tell you how disappointed i am with the performance. Im sure the truck i have now has more power than the 350 that was in the early stages of efi, but when i drove that old truck i could tear the tires off without a problem AND it seemed to have accelerated just as fast if not faster. being this new truck has an ls based engine and much newer technology, is there anything i can really do to add horsepower without spending HOURS and a pile to do mods? any help would be great. thanks...

Your 2010 4.8 truck has torque management that your old 350 didn't have. Plus it's a lot smaller cubes. A good tune will wake it up some, a nice torque converter will help it hit its power band sooner & pull harder. The right cam will add torque across the board, even with the small cubes.
Do your research, and pull the trigger. There are quite a few 4.8's doing really well on these boards.

stock 17's and factory sized tires...theres no way to be faster with bigger rims and larger tires...what can i expect from lt's, stall, tune, 4.10's, and cam? and prolly a 5/7 drop.
