Pink plugs?

Just curious:

I swapped out my stock (15K mile) plugs last week. They all had pink coloring on parts of the insulator.

What's that from?

The only info I've dug up suggests I've been running some fuel injection cleaner or something. I haven't.

Is it something in the gas? I run 93 all the time. No specific brand. We have MTBE here with different oxygen levels in winter and summer.

Octane boost,If you havent used that then maybe injection cleaner,

Mine were changed recently at 18K miles, and they did have the pinkish coloring as well. I never used octane boost, or injector cleaner either.

Its from slight detination and running a little lean at times.

Nothing too unusual or to be concerned over.
