Pacesetter Header question
I know that this is probably a repost but...how well/bad do pacesetter headers fir on my ECSB GMC Sierra? It is an 07 Classic 1500. Any help would be appreciated, I just cannot justify the almost $1000 dollars for a set of SW or Dynatech's.

Several of my buddies have run pacesetters for years without problems and they preform great! Im like you, 1000 bucks for headers?! Dont think so!
|
Depends on where you live. If the roads get salted or you live near the ocean, they tend to rust really bad. If you decide on the pacesetter headers, might want to looking to getting them coated.
As for the install, I'm not sure. I've heard that the biggest problem are bolts near the cab are a pita to get out. Good luck on your install |
I have an RCSB and havent had a single problem with mine. They fit a little close and IIRC the driver side has to come in from the bottom. Other than that like AndysC3 said.. if your on the coasts or winters are rough coat them... its still cheaper than a high dollar brand company :chug:

have you looked into lpp headers? they are stainless and are about the same price.

But yeah there are several companys that have cheaper headers that dynatech. |
Mine fit perfect on my truck. Get them coated and dont look back!

great price and fit nice. the coating doesn't hold up very well. mine are only a year old and rusting badly. i live in OH, but never drove it in the winter.
|
mine fit really good. Just install them going in the from the bottom of the truck on both sides to save time, the passenger side CAN fit going from the top but don't risk it, wayyy too tight. Oh and i'd remove the rear spark plug on the drivers side as that frees up some maneuverability pushing the headers in from the bottom as mine hit that a few times. Once removed they went right in place.
Install really isn't all that bad |
Fitmant is pretty good.. TALK TO ME IF YOU WANT SW's for a good chunk under 1000 :) You can justify it when you will replace the pacesetters a few years from now.. Remember stainless if for ever :)
