Opinion which cam?

Ok Im racking my brain trying to figure out exactly what cam to use in my truck. 01 Silverado RCSB 5.3L will have 243 heads that have been milled, all necessary valve train. Will have a stock torq converter or maybe a small stall but I still need to haul with it.

I have a Lingenfelter GT2-3 cam already that I recieved in some trading and was wondering if I would be better off to sell it and get a 54-455-11 cam or a 224R cam ground on a 112LSA. I had a comp 455-11 a few years ago in a 5 speed 5.3l truck and really liked the sound.

212/218 comp.. maybe high lift since you have better heads than the OE 5.3 castings.

I'd go with the smallest...

Really? Yeah that's great advice way to help this guy out. I've had buddy's run the 212/218 cam and be very happy while towing and playing on the streets. I ran the 224 cam in a 5.3 and it's not a bad all around cam. Both cams are good for a mild set up in my opinion.

You could always contact Pat G or Tick performance and have them spec you out a cam for your set up.
