Oil pressure problem

I recently installed a 6.0 with milled heads, cam,ls7 lifters and a moroso oil pump with red o ring and when i start the truck everything sounds good on it but the oil pressure drops after its idling for a while starts off at 60 psi and steady drops down to 10 psi and eventually i shut it off after it drops that low ..engine was rebuilt with all new bearings including cam bearings ..when you give it gas oil pressure goes up its just at idle that it drops

pinched o ring. and this is the wrong section for questions like this.

I have to agree with Graeme here.

Thanks for moving the tread vortec350ss
Need more help guys i changed out the o ring for the red one accidentally put the green one in there the first time now at idle it holds up 40 psi but as soon as i get it running and engine warms up the oil pressure drops. I gave it a WOT and oil pressure doesnt pass 40psi anyone know what else it can be

I dunno, I'd blame the pump now.

Stock pumps ftw.

I'd verify the oil pressure with a manual gauge before I tore it down again.

If the manual gauge reading is the same, just get a high-pressure replacement.

I wouldn't touch a high volume one unless I had a 7-8qt oil pan.

It sucks for the to happen but you should be able to pull it down in minutes.
