Default Oil Cooler installed, slight drop in oil pressure...questions

I have a 383 LS1 in a 99' silverado. I just bought the engine oil cooler lines for the engine oil cooler that is integrated into the new radiator (05+) I just bought. The motor has a FMS ported LS6 oil pump. I run 10W-30 Royal Purple.

Before the oil cooler, the oil pressure at idle (hot) was an even 40psi and at 6000rpms right at 60psi.

After the oil cooler, the oil pressure at idle (hot) is around 33-35psi and at 6000rpms 50-52psi.

I'm debating on what to do to raise the oil pressure. I'm sure I probably need to shim the oil pump just a little bit, but really don't want to do all that right now. Could changing the oil/brand bump it up some? It seems like the royal purple thins out or something when it gets hot.

Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!

You are fine. Leave it alone. It is to be expected to lose a few pounds by adding the lines.

You still have PLENTY of pressure.

+1, you have adequate pressure for your system, don't lose any sleep over it
