Oil Catch Can Noise?
I have the accurate machine works catch can. I never observed it while the motor was running untill the other day. I heard this hiss and traced it to the catch can. I checked for leaks but found none.
Just curious? Anyone else? |
one time I drained mine (with the engine turned off) and mistakenly fully opened the drain petcock instead of fully closing it after I was finished. It can whistle really loud and be hard to pin down where it is coming from. Yes it should have been easy to figure out on mine but I had also just smoother the TB at the same time... I was sure that I had a vacuum leak from the TB gasket. Nope... just the damn catch can :)

i had the top hose going to the pcv valve and the bottom one to the intake. if that is how you got it switch them around and see what it does.
