Default official times

well,it's not what i was hoping for but not too bad either.

12.15 @ 109 with a 1.73 60', that is with 8psi and a 75shot , i really wanted an 11 but i think the weather was hosing me. my 1/8 time was better from last week with only a 35shot than any i could get tonight with a 75shot, must have been the weather, about 40deg warmer today.

here is a video of my first run it is with no nitrous, just whipple at 8psi

here is another video of a wild launch, once it got dark the videos didn't look good but you can see the launch, 8psi and 75shot.

my best 60' of the night was a 1.671 and that was with a 50shot, didn't think i would see a 1.6x 60'

Man thats great! I'm sorry you didn't get your 11 sec slip, well kinda. But no matter, 12.15 is bustin *****. That was one hell of a launch. How many runs did you get in? I assume that you just didn't go from 8psi to a 75 shot on top without something in between.

I need another power adder.

got 6 runs in, i will just list them off in order

12.94@101.98, 1.75 8psi only
13.03@102.15, 1.82 8psi only
12.25@107.75, 1.67 8psi+50shot
12.15@109.05, 1.73 8psi+75shot
12.26@109.22, 1.77 8psi+75shot
12.24@108.56, 1.73 8psi+75shot

couple of things going on here, i am still a little lean in 1st and way rich in 3rd, i tested a 50 shot with the recomended fuel jet and it got even leaner so i used the 75fuel with the 50nitrous. that took me the other way(more rich). i figured i should be safe and leave it rich so when i jumped to the 75 nitrous i went with the 100fuel and it is WAY rich, like 10.3-10.5 or so. i need to get some extra fuel jets so i can jet it anywhere i like, try and get a mixture that maintians my blower only mixture.

probably wont see an 11sec slip for awhile, i have been driving around with a bunch of parts missing off my truck and running good gas all the time and filling that bottle, i am spending too much on fuel and racing and it is cutting into my mod money, i need to run a pump gas frinedly 6psi for awhile and start saving for my next round of mods. after jumping up to a 75last night i am prety sure a forged stock stroke rebuild with a bigger shot wont make me happy, i think i need to go with a 408+ set up. i want more power without the nitorus and then even more with.

now back to the hard question, iron 408 or 421 , probably be able to swing the short block before summer is over.

and how about that tranny! prety impressed, warrenty is prety much up now so hopefully i will get another year out of the thing. maybe by then they will have some bullet proof parts for these things, someone is probably working on it.

I love it. I'm real happy the tranny is holding up for you. I bet that gas / xylene / nitrous bill is pretty hard to swallow. That stuff gets expensive real quick.

Were you sweating it when you hit the 75 shot the first time?

didn't really sweat the 75 too much because i could see from my times that i still wasn't up the to power level that i was at the week before when it was cold.

i got one for ya, if my truck will pull an 11sec time when it is cold out with 8psi and a 35shot is it any harder on anything to pull an 11sec 1/4 when it is warmer out and hit it with a 8psi and a 100shot? basicly make up for the weather with more nitrous?
