acc bracket - bolts up to the v8? ps pump and alt can stay same locations? dont have to touch wiring or ps hoses or anything? thats what i had assumed but wanted to double check.

year motor - our truck is a 4.3 rwd ext cab 2001 so im looking for a 99-02 engine? i know about the dbw part, but does the harness ecm etc change after 02? or if i get an 03 later motor harness ecu could i just change to an older ls1/ls2 intake with a cable throttle body?

if you get the ECU with the harness, i would think it would work. Not sure if VATs would need to be disabled though.

If you find the a/c bracket doesn't work, I've got one i'll sell ya off of my 6.0 i bought!

man that's some good info. I'll use it to get my next project going.I want to put a 6.0 in a 96-7-8 1/2 ton silverado 2wheel drive for the drags something in the 11.50 range so I don't need a cage.I've been 12.7's @105 with my 86 truck it has a 350 crate motor with fastburn heads and the hotcam,4.10's,700R4 w/3000 stall it was very good but my nephew just put together a 89D-100 with a 340 and went 12.40's so it's time to get busy.

Bookmarked...I'm about to buy a 99 GMC with the 4.3. Seeing as to how the engine is dead currently I'm likely to be stickin a V8 underhood.
