Crate motor is on the way and I am still working on a tranny . I need som help figuring out what gauges and functions I am going to loose when I sidestep my computor. I currently have a 1991 4.3 with a 5 speed and I am swapping it for a crate with either a 700r4 or a t56 still have not made up my mind. I am almost sure I will loose my cruise control but what about my speed 0 and all my gagues in the dash. Will I need to build a new cluster or can I use some of the old gauges on my new motor? anything else I am not thinking of ?

Most people just use the computer to control the guages. I went from TBI to TPI so I went opposite of you but that's how most people do it. However, if you step up to a 700R4, you will need a different computer to control the lockup in the torque converter. The 1227747 will work just fine for the gauges and 700R4 controls.
