OBS to LM7 swap
#1
Hello ive been searching online for days now and cant find anyone who is doin the swap im planning on doin. 90 percent of people that did it are in a 4x2 truck.
I have a 92 3/4 ton 4x4 chevy with a blown diesel in it
im looking at doin a LM7 swap.
Ive seen a couple sites saying that i need mounts that put the engine back a inch...????
Ive read that 93 was the earliest 4l80e trans to adapt to the newer harness is this right? If usable i know it needs a converter spacer.
If i cant use the old trans i can buy the 4l60e but isnt it shorter?
what would i need to make the big HD stuff work?
the trans case wouldnt work either correct?
I also have found not a thing on a dash cluster adapter
I read somewere you can buy an adapter to use the old style A/C setup
In my mind I think i need the entire drive train out of a newer truck..........???
