Maybe. ahaha

The thread in reference isn't totally relevant here as you have a gen4 engine and gen4 trans mated together and in your truck already. You could do all this with gen 4 stuff if you wanted, I think you'd be on your own there- not many ppl have posted/advertised about it, but using gen4 ecu and cluster would get you a running truck. You could do gen4 ecu with an obd2 fed digital screen and save yourself the problem of the cluster and associated wiring

You could also do the Holley about it. They have several options for 58x/6L control

Re: abs- I don't know on the GMT800s, but on my MR2, Civic and E-350 Econoline- the ABS is 100% standalone from everything else. However on my C5, which is Active Handling equipped- the ABS is part of the everything. There is a chance the abs in the GMT800 is standalone and only needs power and wheel speed sensors to operate

I think that is ancillary to getting the truck running

My opinion- the cheap option is gen4 ecu, harness, cluster. The best option is the Holley with trans control. I think in any case, the bcm will only work for things like windows, fog lamps, wipers- whatever else it does without engine info. I don't think any engine related DIC functions will still work. Door ajar, interior lights, RKE will work

Doors won't auto lock and unlock with gear selection unless you do some tomfoolery that I haven't been able to sort out myself. Its related to the PRNDL switch and the bcm, and I haven't figured out the cheat code for it yet
