Because they don't even know how it is oriented...pretty ******* sad. I just sent them pictures the other day of how much I had to rotate my stock exhaust.

See how much I had to rotate my stock exhaust? Look at the hangar on the factory piping.

Here is the Y pipe meeting my stock catback. So take that pic above and rotate the exhaust. I believe my bolts were on top and bottom, not to the sides like this pic.

The side to side flange looks like all the others I have seen and messed with? I have never seen one that had the flange vertical.

The 2008 model must be different from the Pre 2008 and Post 2008 models then. Unfortunately, it is rare to find someone with a 2008 who can help me. Even rarer to find someone with a 2008 and Kooks Y pipe.

2008 here but no pics since my exhaust has been completely redone, but mine was side to side not vertical. Are you the only owner the truck has had? Maybe someone else did some exhaust work and turned it vertical while replacing stock muffler or something. Never heard of vertical flange bolts.

Exhaust was 100% stock.

Now that I look at the pictures, the bolts wouldn't be vertical. If anything, they'd be parallel to the ground instead of at an angle like in the picture. When I look at other pictures of Y pipe flanges for these trucks, the flange is completely horizontal, not crooked like mine. Try the visualization yourself. Realize you'd have to rotate the stock pipe to the right. Doing so would bring "down" that Y pipe bolt you see in the picture.

However, like I said earlier, this whole issue started with the wrong flange being on their in the first place. Instead of a female end, it was a male end. So it's really looking like the wrong flange was put on and at the wrong angle.
