Default NEED HELP--ANY IDEAS WILL HELP

WELL I WENT TO THE TRACK LAST NIGHT AND WAS VERY DISSAPPOINTED. MY MODS ARE LISTED BELOW AND I CANT EVEN BREAK THE 15'S.
60--2.45
1000--13.46
1/4--16.13

60--2.43
100013.73
1/4--16.34

REMOVED GRANATELLI-SCU2000. INSTALLED FACTORY MASS AIR AND RESET COMP.60--2.40 1000--13.26 1/4--16.03 IT SHOULD BE RUNNING A LOT BETTER THAN THAT IN MY OPINION. MAYBE I AM WRONG. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

He doesn't have a denali only the front clip. But have you purchased a predator yet denali???? That programmer made the largest difference out of all few mods i've done.

no i havent had a chance to save up the money but i think i am going to go that route. maybe that will help the top end. i am telling you it falls on its face in third.i shifted into third at 79mph and finished at like 83 on first run and 82 on the second. i am trying to find out if the programmer will help that or not.or if i need to see if there is something else i ned to look at first.

82 mph on a modded 5.3 isint common, infact it is unheard of, most stock hit 87 and above. What track was this at in texas?

First off what gear are you running? Sounds like a 3:42? In reality when you are running 1/4 mile you want to end the 1/4 at the top of 3rd gear. Also were you spinning? I would think you were not with mph. Also have you ever tryed shifting your truck? that will also help if you have not tried it.

Well are you launching off idle or brake torquing? Any wheel spin?

Also, if the mufflers you are running are like what I am thinking of (totally empty internal like a coffee can) those bullets give you no low-end torque at all due to no back pressure...sure they are loud but what fun is being loud and slow? They are made for a Turbo/SC application or extreme N/A. I'd bet with an actual large cased muffler (Dynomax, Magnaflow, Flowmaster) you would pick up some time and power there also.

A programmer would get your WOT shift points up, raise the rev limiter, and add some timing. If you are gonna stick with bolt-ons, I'd go with the Diablo Predator. Its a great piece. Tons of features for the money.

yay it is a 3.42.houston raceway park is the track. and no i was not spinning-i had a buddy filming me to see just that.it will pull great in first and second.power brake take off.once i get to 1900rpm it will pull hard to5600 until i get in third.right now i have put on the factory mass air. i found that one of the ngk plugs was black on two cylinders. one plug wire-very back passenger side had rubbed through on heat shield.installed new autolite double platinum plugs-new msd wires-removed jet chip from trans and set my throttle body back to 4.47 wide open throttle.i am experiencing great runnability and i am going back to the track friday.

Hey Lance, let me know about Friday. I'll run down there with you. I'm getting my stall, gears & shift kit put in next Sat.(if they make it in time), so I'd like to run it before & after.
