Awesome! Torque is king. Had 2 identical trucks '65 Chevy rcsb's with 350's. The one with the 280 cam felt stronger. The one with the 270 cam would kick its *** at the track.

Got a tbss intake manifold/90mm tb, 36lb injectors and clips on the way. Hoping for another 20whp out of it. That would put me just under 400whp. Not to shabby for a mild cammed bolt on lq9.

I don't recommend doing it. I have no doubt in my mind mod for mod the 220 cam will outrun and out truck the 228. Trucks need trq and the 228 loses to much. I didn't like what I lost from the 220. Truck just wont be near as fun with the 228. Now if you are building a scsb 2wd for the track maybe. But its a truck and the 220 in my eyes is the perfect cam for dual purpose. I still use my truck and this cam brings smiles all day. Cant argue with my dyno graph, and the way it feels is about perfect. Ill post the new numbers after injectrors and intake manifold. 400whp 400ftlbs is the goal.
