Happy, yes! best thing I've done to the truck so far; it shifts easier and like I said carries easier on the highway- I haven't wrung it out yet. Seems to be getting even throatier as I accrue mileage, prolly gonna give it a couple weeks then take a stab at the resonator. Again- thanks everyone on the recommendations...……….

Hacked the resonator off today, and it's perrrrrrfect. I left the resonator on for fear of the Borla being too loud/ obnoxious- I'm Mr ultra conservative, but it was a little too quiet and figured I could put the resonator back on if the decibel level went out the window, but all is good and great. THanks again for ya'lls recommendations...………..

Hmm- when I get on it like 5/8 to 3/4 throttle, is sounds almost as if I had a hole in the muffler. Could this be because where I cut the pipe- about at top over the axle, to remove the resonator? I'm gonna fit pipe to the rear when I get to it but wondering is this is the case...……...

Little update here- the Borla is sounding better and better even where I hacked the resonator off. Gonna work on the airbox on the next nice day. The helicopter chop in V4 is HARDLY perceptible, I think it's a DFCO thing- Dad's Denali burbles real nice when ya let off the gas on the off ramp...…………...

Just wanted to add my experience since I have changed my exhaust a half a dozen times in the last few months. 2008 Yukon Denali 6.2 with CAI, everything else stock.
Magnaflow 12909 muffler replaced stock muffler - sounded good but some drone.
--above plus removed stock resonator - sounded much better, less drone same volume.
--above but added Magnaflow 14161 muffler at end like a resonator - bad drone and louder! not sure how but it was annoying
Speed Engineering headers, Flowmaster 200 cell cats, MF 12909 - moderately loud and awesome
Tested other mufflers to quiet down a little in addition to MF 12909 (posted some videos a couple weeks ago on the FB yukon/burban pages)
--MF 14161 back on - mellowed out some, less gurgly, smoother
--Gibson 3 1/2" mellowed out even more, but not worth the 200 bucks unless that was your only muffler but I already had the big MF on.
--Headers, cats, stock 6.2 muffler no resonator - still kinda loud, like old school chambered hot rod gurgly sound.
--MF 14161 back on again and it really mellowed it out, very quiet with deep performance tone
Conclusion - I went back to the stock muffler (3 1/2" turbo style) plus the magnaflow 14161 which really calmed it down because I can't haul the family around in a hot rod sounding SUV. I loved it but not family friendly, I also tow so that would get old. I don't think the stock muffler is holding back too much but I'm sure there's a few ponies on the table. Consequently I have the Magnaflow muffler 12909 for sale now I need to post in the classified!
