I have the slp loudmouth I's on my truck with longtubes and no cats. Definitely a loud setup. I used a set of borla resonated tips in the past to quiet it down, but they really take out all the tone too. I just put on two dynomax bullets right before the tips and I can honestly say it did quiet it down some. It has a good tone to it now, took out the rasp, and it still has a mean bark to it when you rev it.

Thanks for all the input guys. I am pretty close to what I want with no cats and no mufflers. I miss the low end torque a little without the backpressure, but it's a 5 speed, so I can put it in the powerband when need be. Right now with the long tube headers and basically a couple feet of pipe, it sounds pretty good, but it needs to get more organized. It cracks and pops a little much for me when I let off the gas. If the bullets will quiet it down some and help with the cracks and pops, that would be good enough for me. This truck isn't my daily driver anymore, so it being a little loud is ok.

the moroso spiral flow would be a good alternative to the bullets. not too expensive and have a good tone, while still being louder than a regular muffler.

those sweet thunders sound pretty good. I've always liked the chambered exhaust. I think I might pick up a couple of those.
