I understand where your coming from though. So the .03-.04 mill would yield me roughly 10:1cr with stock gaskets?

plus go look at what they want for the lq9 pistons.
6.0l LQ9 pistons 88894242 $342.00 each (Escalade) from sdps. They retail for 427.52 EACH!!!!!!!!! and gmparts direct price is 243.69 EACH!!!!!!!!!!

I know I started the same train of thought. Try to build a real ss(10.5:1 and like 400hp) type engine with all factory parts. I changed my mind in a quick hurry when I saw the prices on those lq9 pistons. If you have a set already, go for it but your looking $3420.16 Retail for lq9 pistons!!!!!!!!!!!

Uh, well. When I called on the 9 pisotns they gave me a part number that pulled the pistons at a 45 dollar a piece price tag. And it didnt include rings. I ended up selling my LQ4 and got an LQ9 so I dont really have to mess with milling and stuff.
