If youre gonna stay with the stock intake I have a 36lb injector spider from wynjammer for sale. Prolly want to put a 1" intake spacer in there too. Restrictions from that point will be fuel pump (go with a 225LPH) and the throttle body sucks. I also have a cut/ported MAF and lightly ported TB which would help... Either way, the intake is the restriction.

^ yeah, been there. You did some work on that one! I did the same and ended up going with a edelbrock proflow on my '97 L31.

Jet/Tuner cat can plug in the OBDII port and change what ever tables you like. transmission, spark fuel to list a few. Too many for my novice mind to figure out. I never understood why it could tune LS motors and HPtuner won't work on these computers.

An update to a 411 computer is easier to tune using the more common HP tuners folks are used to, supposed to be a faster computer also. But that swap might be beyond my skill set for truck I use as a daily driver.

Pro flow fit all the stock cable linkage, cruise etc?

I did the 0411 swap and had it HP tuned. Was night and day difference. Granted the HP tune was Black Bear and the black box was some one else. Its not too bad. One wire at a time...

The Proflow will use the same cables. I did have to slightly mod the bracket but no biggie (cut off a tab or something). You also need to cut into the injector harness to go with conventional injectors. Again, one wire at a time... No EGR provisions so that may be an emissions issue for some.

Well now it’s just like any other SBC. Not even in the spirit of the L31 anymore. Lol. $125 shipped will take this thing off my hands. Someone else has a Vortec eh?? Ha

yea think I narrowed a potentially strong combo down starting with
Black bear tune
LT1(fbody) cam
Vmax spacer
80mm throttle body
S10 stall
Open exhaust
posi, 3.42's

Final-
Promaxx vortecs
Loyd Elliot cam stage II
Marine intake w/ 80mm
Maybe 100 shot
*later possibly 383*

Maybe it's my imagination but I would think judged off of vortec stroker's combo that should put me around srt10 level(final combo)

383 w/flat tops, better intake/TB set up, fuel system, good set of heads, good cam grind with low LSA, and a 125 shot and you're in the neighborhood. Oh, some pocket cash for the 4l60E rebuild. It can take it but needs good parts too. A set of 3.73 or 4.10 will put the butt dyno on alert as well!

Save some cash and go LS...

LT1 Fbody cam is not the right choice. Get a torque cam built for the weight of your truck.
