Default maf?

My truck has been running very bad for the past few months to the point where I just quit driving it. I took it to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong. Today I unplugged the maf and it seemed to run better. I didn't get it on the highway, just down a small road. My ltrims have been around 6.0 but after unplugging the maf they stayed negative for the first time since the tune. Does this mean that the maf is bad or is it something in the tune?

alot of variables could be present, meaning that not knowing what you have done to it and/or the tune my first advice is to clean the maf. take an electrical contact cleaner (non-lubricated) and drown that f-er. use q-tips to clean it as well. Be very very careful. No lubricants!!!

Only mods done are a small cam and a nelson mail order tune. I think I have already cleaned the maf back when it all started but its been so long ago I can't remember. I will try it again though.
