Here is my lengthy email trying to determine if the dynatechs work :
(email is in reverse, final reply is first)

Dynatech:
"The headers will fit just fine. The whole system (115-841350) will not fit. The end of the headers have a 3 bolt flange and reducer cones. The reducer cones have O2 bungs welded into them. The reducer cones are 2.5" outside diameter."

"This is correct. I'm going to check with Dynatech to make sure I'm not missing something with the HD but I'm 99.9% sure that we've sold many of these for that vehicle - just a bolt on."

I wrote (validation of vendors answer):
"Let me make sure I understand this correctly because I keep getting different answers from different sources. "

"For the dynatech Headers only (not system), for my 2500HD CCSB 6.0 liter, 4WD chevy, I will have to do some "cutting and welding to mate them (headers) up the the factory pipe that is located in front of the cat."

"For the Dynatech system (not just the headers), I wont have to do any cutting or welding for the system to work. The Y-pipe in the system will work, "as is", on my 4WD truck."

"Headers only install requires welding and fabrication."

"System requires no welding or bending of pipe, just sockets and a rachet (and possibly a sawsall)."

"Are these statements correct? "

"I want headers (or a system) that I can just bolt-on in my driveway and go."

No they dont the collector goes way past where the factory y-pipe connects to the manifolds. At best you would have to get the factory y-pipe reconfigured for the lt headers.

Man,

Guess there just not much love for 2500HD 4wds from the LT companies when it comes to "bolt-on". The latest update I got (this a.m.) was that the dynatech "headers only" may work, but the guy is not 100% because their engineers havent tested fitment on a 4wd 2500HD.

I have had plenty of problems with exhaust shops until I finally found one that did good work. Just get you a set of headers that is going to take some exhaust work and then when you take it to the exhaust shop stay out there in the bay and watch what they are doing and if they are doing a half *** job tell them and get them to fix it right that is what I have always done it pisses them off but if you are paying for it it should be done right.
