LS9 valve springs

looking at putting a mild performance cam in my 2500hd (lq4). the LS9 spring look appealing. can i use stock retainers and locks? anyone have experience with them?

Run them with a lot of low lift setups, using stock seals, retainers and keepers. They work great and are very inexpensive.

I was told by the machine shop that is helping me on my truck that ls9 valve springs on cathedral port heads coil bind at very (relatively speaking) low lift. Something with the installed height being a lot taller on the newer heads.
