Default 4.8L flowmaster... bet that

i got a 40 series muffler put on my 2004 4.8l today... used all the stock piping and everything...... and just to let you know it sounds great.... i can barely hear it with the windows up and when they are down it is loud... i noticed a little bit of performance... like maybe a tenth or two... nothing major, but i only paid 120 for awesome sound... does anybody have any suggestions on headers.....looking around 300-400 for a price range... or suggest any other mods??

For that price spend a lil more and get TOG-they are mid lengths but work great!! Adds like 30-40hp from what i hear-go look at some of the vendors----------------------->
or check the classifieds section out and see if theres any used headers out there. I suggest either TOG,AS&M's. Just my .02!!

If you plan on going crazy with bolt-ons, think twice. I went nuts with bolt-ons and in hind sight, I wasted a lot of time and money. Get a s/c and you won't be disappointed. If I could do it all again, I would have just got my procharger 1st and then worried about the other little things.

30-40 hp im not sure about that at all are they good headers yes but not that damn good they and ASM headers and from what i hear thorley headers are great as far as that price range again you could also go with a FIPK or a stall from like a trailblazer or something which would be a world of difference just my 2 cents
