Default ls1 cam to big for stock valvetrain?

Swapping the 5.3 shortblock for an ls1 shortblock, will the ls1 cam be to big for the stock springs?

Will I need new pushrods, lifters, or anything else?
Will the complete stock 5.3 head be ok?

thanks

if it is a low lift model and not a ls6 cam then you will be ok.

I though all ls1's came w/about the same cam or does it vary by year?

the stock springs are good for a 500 lift or less. Any ls1 cam would work fine in there. The ls6 cam lift does exceed 500 so you will need stiffer springs if you go that route.
