Smile LQ9 swap complete!

Well after having my truck in the shop for a week, I just picked the truck up today after having the 4.8 swapped out for a LQ9 that came out of an 03 Silverado SS. The power is night and day, and its every where in the RPM band and pulls hard up top. It runs kind of rough and stalls every now and then which can be expected with a mail order tune with a cam. Im gonna take it in tomorrow to the dealership and have the crank relearn done because I have an SES light. My Pacesetter long tube headers arrived today, still waiting on the ORY pipe so when that gets here and installed, I will more than likely take it in for a dyno tune or purchase HP Tuners, just not sure yet.

Mods on my truck so far are
LQ9
Thunder Racing Pushrods
Comp cam 220/226 556/570 114+4
comp 918 springs
42 lbs injectors
wait4metune

Its a lot stronger than the 4.8 was, Is most noticable after 70mph, it just keeps pulling hard with out running out of breath I know there is a lot more in it with a custom tune and the headers

I know how you feel I went from a cammed 4.8 to a cam and head LQ9 with 11.1 to 1 compression

Very Sweet! I would get HPtuners if I were you. If nothing else you can get updated tunes and make log files to send back to have it perfected. Having all this stuff sitting in the garage is killing me!! Im looking forward to it though. A 370 with 70mm STS should be enough to get this thing moving.
