LQ9 or LQ4 in a 2006 Denali

Default LQ9 or LQ4 in a 2006 Denali

what motor does a 2006 yukon denali have? LQ4 or LQ9? I know its rated at 335 hp and does this motor have an aluminum block?

Why the heck didn't they just stick in the LQ9 in 2006? That application of the LQ4 had 5 less hp and 5 less lbft, same bore, same stroke and same CR.

the lq4 never had the same compression as the lq9.

the lq9 was put in the sierra denali's but not the yukon's.

If you want to be 100% sure, open up the glove box and look and see which engine code is printed in on the build sheet

Or just look at the vin number, if eigth digit is a U it's the LQ4, if it is an N it's an LQ9. By the way all the Yukon Denali's have the LQ4.
