lq4 9805 piston?

Thought the lq4 had plain dished pistons? Got the heads off on mine and it has dished pistons with valve reliefs in them? They start that on a certain years or what? They have 9805 on the tops of all of them. Stock or after market

what year is the block?? if you have to put the knock sensors on the side of the block and the cam sensor on the front cover then you have an "ly6" the updated verson of the lq4 starting half way through 2007.... it should have 2 valve reliefs on opposite sides of the piston.... if none of that applies except for the having 2 releifs on opposite sides of the piston then someone may have put updated floating rods and postons into an older lq4....05+ rods are beefier and have floating pins

Well the guy I bought it from said it had 15kto on the motor so he maybe right. The knock sensors are in the valley cover and cam sensor is behind the Intake manifold. And yes they have valve reliefs diagonal from each other.

Seems the later LQ4's have these pistons and they look identical to the LY6 pistons. A friend of mine had an LQ4 from an 07 van and it had the same pistons with reliefs in them. Quick internet search netted me that guys have seen it in 2005+ Lq4's.......
