LPP LT's install on 2011 5.3

Did a install on a set of LT headers that I ordered from LPP today on my 2011 Silverado 5.3.

I want to start by saying that it was great dealing and communicating with Carl. Shipping time was very prompt and everything came packaged very well. Quality of the headers look great, nice clean welds, clean bends, and everything fit together pretty much perfectly. I'm by no means a mechanic, never had a job working on motors so I'd say my experience level at novice. The headers were very smooth to put on. Really the "hardest" part of the whole thing was cutting out all of the old exhaust.

I re-used the same head bolts that I took off the factory headers, all came out very easily as I soaked them in PB Blaster the night before and morning of install. Gaskets were fine from the stock headers but I used the ones I recieved from LPP as they were metal. Both drivers side and passenger side slid up from the ground easily and bolted right in no problem. Great fit, no rubbing anywhere or extra fab needed. Clears steering shaft, spark plugs, frame, and o2 sensors were able to be screwed back in to the threaded ports. Y-pipe bolted on nice and was easily connected to flexible mesh part just above my muffler. Install time took me 4 hours.

They sound great and perform great! Very very pleased with everything I have.

Looks good, too bad you didnt clean the oil from your hands off before you started the motor as they are now burned into the header lol.

I guess I really need to tell people about that.
Installing polished stainless headers you really need to wipe them down with something like lacquer thinner when your done installing them to remove all the hand and finger prints otherwise they get burnt into the finish.

LPP Long Tube Headers 5.3

Look nice and sounds really good. That bolt on the middle of the steering shaft any issues when turning near the primary on the headers?
