Loud squeel when pulling ahead??
 

my truck makes one hellova loud squeel now when i ease ahead. Also I have been noticing the lights dimming under load at stoplights worse than before. Also when the truck squeels the battery dies down..

any ideas??? loose belt? bad alternator??

its usually when i just start the truck and pull ahead or turn <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />

Sounds like belt slipping to me.Make sure its not loose and check to make sure nothing is trying to seize up.

ok i just found out what it was..

when the clutch on the AC compressor engages and I give it a little gas thats when it squeals. Looks like I need to replace the clutch there... also my battery dies alot when the clutch engages....

but the squeal is coming from the ac compressor <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
