l76 Car Intake on 07+ Gen IV
 

I purchased and LY6 for my Chevelle and found the problems here associated with fitting a car intake on a truck motor. I saw Speartech did some tests, but none with my combo.

LY6 with stock 07 water pump.
Stock 07 87mm DBW Throttle body.
L76 car intake

IT FITS! Just enough room for the hose to slide on. Hope this helps someone in the future.

I was under the impression that the L76 intake was a restriction in the higher RPM? even compared to the truck intake?

Yep, its going into my 72 Malibu.

Its quite the opposite on the L76 flow. Its pretty good in the upper RPM range where the trucks fall flat after 5000. This should pull hard to 6500
