I'll try the Dr tranny shudder stop. I guess if it actually works I'll start planning on a circle d converter. Thank you

I'm not usually one to recommend snake oil treatment for vehicle problems but I've used it on 2 vehicles that had TC shudder and it worked almost instantly on both.

Logged 250 miles with the snake oil and the problem persists. I'll be getting a tune in a week and if that doesn't work I guess the torque converter is a plausible concern.

So just an update as to what I'm planning. I'm fairly certain the converter is slipping so I went ahead and ordered a circle d converter. I'll replace the converter this Saturday and should have the tune by sunday.

Glad you got to the bottom of it. Is it gonna be a dyno tune? If so I can't wait to see the numbers.

Well I can't say that i am 100% sure that the converter is the problem but I'm fairly certain. Im hoping the new converter fixes my issues. It would make sense that the converter is the culprit since it only does it when the converter locks up and at low rpms. My tuner is going to ride along with me and tune it while i drive. Ill have it put on a dyno soon though and ill be sure to update this post. Im pretty excited about the Circle D converter I've heard great things about them.

Well I got the converter in and I believe I have solved my transmission problem. Unfortunately my tuner was unavailable this weekend so I'm hoping next week to have it tuned. I am really happy with the converter so far it's like driving a different truck altogether. The truck really seems to pick up power above 3200 rpms but considering I'm still using the stock tune I'm sure that's to be expected. I'll update again when I get the truck tuned.

Looks like it needs some work to the fueling and timing. Comes on sluggish down low, but that is to be expected with a big change in airflow compared to the stock tune.
