Default intercooler ideas

What do you guys think about the Spearco intercoolers?? Is it cost prohibitive to try to install one of these on a non intercooled 5.3 vortech s/c?? Procharger includes one I know, but I just hear too many stories about problems with their systems. Besides, Id like to be a little different. Thanks

Spearco cores are fine, and you can get them on ebay new for real cheap. How you integrate it to your vortech, is up to you. It's really all up to the installer.

Green Tahoe, Thats exactly what I've got planned (Vortech S/C and intercooler). I've saved up half the $$ for the s/c and then I'll get the intercooler. I should have the Vortech by this summer and then I'll need some tranny work. Good luck with it, let me know how the Vortech runs when you get it on.
