Have a 06 vortecmax lq9, doing a btr stage 3 truck cam, 255lph walbro fuel pump, 42lb injectors, lifters, valve spring kit, trunion rocker arm kit, high flow oil pump, some other internals, has shorty headers currently, long tubes are the idea down the road just not right now.

Just wanting suggestions and a little schooling on intake manifolds, throttle body's, and maybe even head suggestions.

 

Stock intake and throttle body are fine. That motor should already have a nice set of heads on it. Check your casting number, at I guess maybe 243/799 or something but I don't know that vortec max truck very well.

You could do a NNBS/TBSS intake upgrade to squeeze a few extra HP out of it but you don't have too.

 

Yea everyone keeps telling to find a Tbss intake and throttle body, that is an ls2 motor on those correct?

 

yes, fyi they also came stock on all 07.5-13 4.8 and 5.3 engines too
