Installing Longtubes

I installed longtubes on my car, it was easy, i'm going to be installing some on my friend's 04 sierra, i figure it will be easier than an f-body install, am i in for any surprises? and what o2 sensors you guys run with longtubes the bosch 13111s?

TXsilverado Nov 14, 2006 01:05 AM

factory 02 sensors...install should be easier.

jakebdb56 Nov 14, 2006 01:10 AM

should be an easier install, only thing to watch out for really is the steering shaft, other than that it's a piece of cake. I run stock O2's since they're not even a year old

Mangled03gmc Nov 14, 2006 04:31 AM

It is defentaly easier to do the truck install, stock for the 02's..

help

Maybe you guys can help me out here. I had SW installed and eliminated the 02 sensors in the rear and I keep getting a check engine light. This has only happend in my 06? I have a Nelsons tune and we are on the second one and still have the check engine light. I know he can take care of it but I was wondering if any of you guys have experienced the same?

I have unplugged them both, the right 02 has been replaced with an inteceptor gauge.

SORRY to jump in like this.

Spy- The install is not too tough, if you search for a little bit, you will pick up a few good tips/experiances to help you avoid trouble.

Gibbs-
There is a P0054, and P0060 that are unlabeled on the DTC list. These need to be turned off when eliminating the rear O2s. He may not know this yet. Have you scanned to see what codes you're throwing?

Hope this helps.

Yes I had it scanned and these were the codes Subject: P0054, P0060,
P2A01. He knew about the ones you had mentioned the last is a new?

Moddoo Nov 14, 2006 09:14 AM

I forgot about that one,
P2A01 & P2A04 have to be deleted too.
P2A01 = O2 sensor circuit range/performance bank 1 sensor 2
P2A04 = O2 sensor circuit range/performance bank 2 sensor 2
