Default Injector upgrade

Will the ECM have to be programmed for a slight increase of injector size? I want to put '03 LQ9 6.0L injectors on a '99 LQ4 6.0L 2500 Silverado. Or can I use a MAF Translator to adjust for the increase?

I think you can use a MAFT, but your best choice would be to get custom tuning.

What year model of truck are we talking about? Only the 1999 4.8 / 5.3 trucks had smaller injectors. The 1999 6L trucks were larger. Then in 00, all trucks (except the 8.1) came with the same size injectors. The 03 LQ9 injector should be the same size as the 99 LQ4. You'll only need to tune it if you have a 4.8 / 5.3 1999 model.

I believe the bosch will not just plug in. There will have to be a modify to get them to work. I think the 6.0 are like 24 or 26 pound. You might do a search on that for sure. But the 99 4.8/5.3 are like 21 pounders.

The 99 4.8/5.3 injectors are 21.7 pounders. The newer ones are 24.6.
