idle torque numbers

hey guys, I have a question. Cant find anything on the interwebs, or this site for that matter. I am looking to possibly use a 6 liter engine in a gas electric hybrid configuration. Looking to find rough torque numbers at idle. does anyone have an idea of what kind of power a stock or roughly stock 6.0 is making at idle?

Don't think anyone is going to have that info. My guess would be 225-230 ft lbs of torque.

I know. Who would care about those numbers. I never did either. I was kinda figuring those numbers as well. Hopefully someone can confirm them.

At idle, I would doubt even that high. Now if the tune is setup right you could load it at low RPM and make tq but just at a free idle I would say it isnt making much.

Kinda like the AC airflow adder tables, you could do something similar in the tune to keep it from stalling with the added load at idle and thus increase the torque output.

Thats kinda what would have to happen. I wiant to run several 10Kwatt generator heads from a custom serpentine system while minimizing fuel usage. thinking I can get 4 turning without the engine noticing it, 8-10 if I tweak things a bit.

you could data log it and get a calculated number through the ecm

dont have that capability.

At idle I doubt it is much at all I would guess 50-100. Nothing runs at idle for a reason, every compressor and generator I have ever seen runs on a high idle. Now if you make idle atleast 1200 you will be making some more torque and possibly be more in the ball park of what you are looking for.

Okay, that makes sense. I have no grounds to say I think any different. does anyone have a dyno graph that goes below 2000 rpms?

Now if your running them with no load.. you could run severall.. but at full load a 10kw is gonna load that dude up good!

EFI Live shows 80ftlb at idle (850rpms) you raise it up to 2000 and it should make quite a bit
