I would like to get some opinions on one brand vs. another for exaust systems. I love the sound of Flowmaster but like the idea of the stainless Magnaflow. I am also wondering if I should go with headers or not. Like I said, I do like the sound of flowmasters but don't want too much noise.

 

whats your truck reg cab or extended cab?

 

What's your budget? Corsa is by far the best sounding exhaust I've heard, and it has no drone inside the cab. It's pricey though.

 

my dad has a flowmaster on his 99 silverado, its a 5.3 also, and man does it have a bad drone inside the cab! outside the truck sounds alright its not too bad

 

Flow master do not give as much power gain as the others (Corsa, Magnaflow)

 

out of the three flows are the loudest if you want quieter go with magnaflow pretty good price too.

I'll check em' out. I'm not worried about cost, I'm going to spoil myself a little after I get back home this fall.

 

Corsa is a sweet sounding system as mentioned above! On my ext cab im running a single/single out 14'' case magnaflow ran out the back similar to factory.....sounds great and not to loud! No drone at all either.....ive had flowmasters in the past and really like the magnaflow sound!

 

my flowmaster sounds pretty sweet very deep powerful rumble in the low end, but starts to sound lower quality in the top end. VERY bad interior drone though. i have heard a lot of good things about Borla, and they seem to be similarly priced to the corsa. the Borla is my next setup.
