I'll tell ya why - cuz the stock fuel pump and injectors cant supply enough gas to the engine. My 5.3 is dyno'd at 405 RWHP, and it starves for fuel at 118. So keep pumping your BS high school stories, but not here - these guys know too much.
im callin bs on that 405rwhp after seeing that video and how long it takes to get to 100 there is no way in hell you have 405 i have the same truck and it accelerates alot faster uptop and is no where near 405 rwhp. lets see the dyno vid

ok so i happen to end up on a 4 lane highway tonight with perfect weather and i wander....hmmmmmm

absolutely no traffic so i lit into it. my truck is at exactly 5,000 rpm's when it hits 120. from there i had no problem taking it to 5,500 rpm but i let out cuz there was a curve coming up.(which made me realize how awesome your brakes are!!!)

curious, i wandered how many mph 500 rpm came out to so i dropped into third. from 60-72 it moves exactly 500 rpm. from 90-102 in third the exact results so im figuring for every 500 rpm in third it pulls 12 mph.

if my math isnt off way too much, or im forgeting something, i was doing around 130-132. stock fuel system from tank to motor, no nitrous. i tried to get pictures on my phone of my speedo showing 120@5,000 rpm and then the mph pin maxxed with the tach at 5,500 rpm but the bouncy ride screwed the pics up. how do i get pics from the phone to the computer?

if anyone can check the math for me heres what i got. 3.73, 4l60e, 245/70/17(30.5"tire) i would love to know if my bootleg math adds up right

EDIT: this is the first time ive pushed the truck this hard since the day i was tuning with allen. ive got 500 miles on the tune now and holy ****...it used to struggle some to get up to 120 mark. now it went straight to it and pulled past like ive never seen it before. props to allen nelson!!!

and uhhh, before i do this again, what are the factory american general 245/70/17's worth speed wise

It does take forever to hit the limiter, but they WILL hit it. With the radix, 130 creeps of much faster.
when i hit the HPP3 limiter (128mph) my low traction light came on anyone else have this happen? btw wouldnt the big *** tires on this guys truck throw off the tac and speedo? i bought a 00 t/a that would do 65mph on residential streets and have old ladie's weaving aroudn me flipping me off the fukcing thing was goin like 25mph.

You guys are insane. I get scared going 110. Telephone poles fly by pretty quick at that speed. Man, if you pop a tire going 120 or so.... oh my, and what good are awsome brakes when driving on a wet road? Your tires are floating at that speed.

got the pictures....warning they suck but you can still make them out.

HITTING 120MPH......rpm's=5,000

RPM's at 5,500 with speed needle in same exact spot(maxed)

if my ghetto math is right im around 130-132 on a setup that is suposedly IMPOSSIBLE factory from the tank to the injectors, no cam, no nitrous, ecsb pig at full weight+full tank and system. and had no problems getting there. it had more left in it...

on a side note, 01Thunder is lucky that his air dam didnt fly out of the bed of my truck on my way to drop it off
