hOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BORE A BLOCK?
 

When i get my 6.0 block im gonna bore it 30 or 40 over and i was wanderin how much it would cost probaly? i also want them to hot tank it or clean it up, whatever they call that...how much should it cost all together? thanks!

First get it Magnafluxed and cleaned to ensure it can take an overbore and there are no cracks.

When you get it bored, make sure it is done with a torque plate hone. That will ensure very straight bores. You going to install new cam bearings and freeze plugs too?

Pricing will depend per machine shop. I'd just take a wild guess at maybe $200?

that sounds about what i paid to have my 350 bored out. i think 200 is a safe bet.

THANKS GUYS...How much will it be to have it magnafluxed and cleaned? and should i leave the crankshaft in it? or take it out before i take it to get bored?

Just give them the bare block. $200-$250 should be the price range.

So are you guys sayin it will only be $200 or so to get it cleaned, magnafluxed and bored? thats cheap!
