i would be looking into gears instead of engine mods. a jeep is already a very light vehicle for a 6.0. the power is there, but im sure it has nowhere nearly enough gear.

got any pics of your setup?
Motor mounts and drive shafts?

Did you do all the work yourself?

TB - you can slap a DBC or DBW TB on there . . . if it's the cable operated already, then it's less cost for the whole swap.

Computer works with either, but if you're going from DBC to DBW . . . you'll need a few more parts . . . then it's no longer a cheap swap

Where could I get a price like that in the Houston area for milling?

I have drw right now. I'm new to modding these ls motors. I am big into the diesel world. I built my cummins from stock to twin turbo and 620 hp all by myself. When I put my lq4 in it was an awesome motor. I'm just looking for more. There is a local machine shop in town that will machine my heads down. What should I tell them I want? What about valve springs or push rods? my motor has 91,xxx on it. Is the Vinci trucker cam good? I know I'm looking for power in different places than a lot of you guys. All input is apreciated

I did all the work myself. I have a th350 Trans. I'm looking for short blasts when rippin on my jeep. It mainly keeps the speeds below 45 mph. Gears aren't my problem. It's a rock crawler. That's what I built it for.

It sounds like your looking for your power under 3000 rpm. I suggest you take a look at a smaller cam like the one I run in my 5.3. Comp lists it for 5.3 and 6.0 engines, and I think it would work really well in your application. Part # 54-451-11 specs are 208/212 .554/.558 115 Lsa. Off idle torque gains were awesome and in a 6.0 it would easily pull past 5,500 rpm.

You could give that a shot first with some springs and pushrods, and see how you like it. Like was said already milling the heads a little to bump compression is deffinitely another great idea, although that obviously requires pulling the heads.

Quit dodging the gear question.

This could be your problem. 40'' tall tires need a LOT of gear to get your powerband where you want it.

Also what intake are you currently running?

The factory truck intake is worth the most torque. But the NNBS 87 mm intake would be great also.

The 1st gear in your TH350 is helping you.
