Do you need cats where you are located? If not, save your cash. Otherwise, stock cats & y-pipe will take you quite a ways.

Are the stock cats restrictive?
I thought of gutting them but i don't want the nasty gas smell everyone gets when they gut them

I don't have the "nasty gas smell" without cats. I expected it, after reading everybody's posts here, but it isn't there. I guess it has something to do with the tune.

I have the magnaflow hi flo cats on mine, and I put them on in conjunction with my headers and noticed a big difference...so I couldn't tell you about the cats by themselves

dont run them if you don't have too. as long as everything is bolted or welded up good, you shouldn't smell much
