I am running a BTR Truck Stage 2 Cam (212/218 .553/.553 113+2 LSA), TSP-PRC 243 heads that have been milled to 63cc (Around 0.010" Milled, I Think), Cometic 3.910" Bore - 0.045" Compressed Thickness Head Gaskets, Stock Rocker Arms with CHE Trunnions, LS7 Lifters, and I ended up using 7.375" Pushrods.

I used the Comp 7702-1 Pushrod Length Checker. I ended up with 10 turns, which is 7.300" and added 0.075" Preload. Basically back to stock pushrods, which are 7.380" in the Gen4 LMG 5.3. I used Tick Performance .105" Wall Pushrods as well.

11 turns with the Comp 7702-1 Checker would put you at 7.350", not 7.400".

Each turn is equal to 0.050"
0.050" x 11 = .55
.55 + 6.800" = 7.350"
7.350" + Desired Preload on Lifters = 7.xxx

So you should be using a 7.400" or 7.425" Pushrod. If using LS7 Lifters, 0.075" preload would be about ideal, which would be 7.425" Pushrods.

I will double check again it could have been 12 turns, I believe I set it to 11 got lash, went to 12 got no lash, went to 13 and the rocker wouldn’t seat. I’m going to have to check every cylinder again this weekend. Really not trying to play trial and error with push rods haha

When you get zero lash, is your rocker arm bolt tight?

Some people do it differently than I do, but I will actually torque the rocker bolt to spec, 22 lb-ft or whatever it is, then adjust for zero lash. Some people just tighten the rocker arm bolt to snug, no idea if it actually makes a difference.

I make it snug and then turn it a hair to make sure it is fully seated, but I put no preload on it.

No.

That’s a decent amount of overlap in a 5.3, let alone a 4.8.

aha I worded it wrong, said to be discreet in a 6.0 but aggressive in a 4.8. But supposed to bring power in fast and quick, which is really all I can ask for out of the 4.8.

But I have no idea, I know how to put them in haven't figured out how determine what will work best yet
Shift points will be set around 6500-6800 Rpms, and that will need atleast a 3400 stall, not a great DD but can be done
