I love this forum You guys are a wealth of knowledge. Filter size does matter to me so thanks for that tidbit of info. I have been leaning towards the series 77 anyway because I feel like you are probably getting both good looks and performance there.
Really is nice to know that no matter what I decide to buy one of you guys has tried it and has info about it. Thanks again everyone.
I am probably going to go with that series 77 kit because I have yet to hear anyone talk bad about K&N products and I love the way that thing looks.

personally i think all the chrome ones look cheap, like ricers. my votes for the volant cuz it just looks best quality, and it doesnt get any dirt/water damage.

basically, if ur gonna be driving in the dirt, live where it rains, or live where its hot... then get volant. otherwise, get the k&n

Well chrome was here way before those darn ricer's. Even our classic trucks and cars had them back in the good ole years. My vote is for the K&N 77 series, I have the Gen III K&N FIPK (regular one) kit in my Sierra. Ill be shopping for an air intake kit in a couple of weaks for my 5.3L Yukon, and I have my eyes set on the 77 series...

I have seen two of the regular FIPK air filters on the same truck and it is noticably shorter than the one I have(77series).
