Default help on exhaust setup for h/c lq9...

so I was think of how to do my exhaust setup on my truck, I will be making over 400rwhp so should I go with a ory in to a 3inch singel in singel out magnaflow or 3inch true duals all the way out? What do you guys think the pipes should be 2 1/2 - 3 inch ? what do you guys think i should run?

i run 3" from the collectors back. that should be good with a cutout for the track.

Either a single 3" or dual 2.5"...basically your preference. The dual 2.5's will have slightly more of a cross section than the single 3". Here's what I'm planning for my future setup, behind a H/C LQ9: StainlessWorks LT's and high flow cats into 2.5" pipes, on to an x-pipe with dual 2.5" pipes out into 2 Magnaflow 4" round 14" long mufflers, dumped either before or after the axle. I'd really like to make my exhaust pipes equal length like Trever1t has, his exhaust is sweet. Maybe he'll see this thread and post some pics...

well i don't have cats so no need for high flow ones, i was thinking of 3inch ory in to a 3inch single in dual 3inch magnaflow all the way back and dumped after the axle,
what do you think to much?

I don't think that you need the dual 3" part of that system, I'd do a single in/single out 3" magnaflow if going this route...just my .02

i run 3" duals from the collectors then dumped, if anything i would at lease go out the side in front of the back tire if you dont wanna have them dumped, i had mine over axle and i would break the brackets lol.. as for size i ran 3" true duals on my stock lq4 in the ecsb and had no issues and it felt strong, but since i changed things around i went ahead and had them done in 2.5 true duals

is there a difference = no i dont think it made one
