Default Headers

These pacesetters and their ticking and leaking are annoying me... plus one of mine decided it didn't like me and burn a hole through one of the primary's. I have had them for 4 years so its probably time to upgrade.

Any recommendations? And is it beneficial to run 1 7/8 primary's on a 5.3l? Im getting my heads worked over a little bit to run with my cam but would it net any gains going to a 1 7/8 primary? Or just stick with a 1 3/4 primary's with better quality headers lol.

I do plan to eventually get a 6.0 or bigger... when this 5.3l decides to quit. Whenever that will be

depends on how much $$$ you wanna spend man. I would have loved to get the ARH 1-7/8" headers but they were a bit out of my budget, so i ended up going with the LPP 1-3/4" stainless headers and i love them. Would definitely buy from them again, had fast shipping and am very pleased with the quality and fitment of the headers and y-pipe. And for 500 bucks, i couldnt turn then down.

like mentioned above BUT you mentioned 6.0 in the future so why not build for the future 1 7/8s all the way!!! specially if youre dead set on a 6.0 swap then dont down grade from a future build

then i personally think the 1 7/8s would be fine on the 5.3 cause of the cam and stall you have!! remember what comes in has to get out

and why i am thinking about it get that damn locker fixed lol i seen one wheel spin then when stopped and started again the other wheel spun lol both of them never spun at the same time

Man the LPP's are the way to go no question. I actually had some communication probs from them but I seem to be a very rare case. Their product is amazing though. If you compare LPP's and Pacesetter's side by side there is no doubt what to go with. The flange on the LPP's is much thicker so itll never warp and leak. The quality of the material is awesome. That and they seem to fit 10x better than the Pacesetters. For the money you cant go wrong. And if youre going to run their Y pipe I have a brand new one thats only been out of the plastic once and Id make you a deal on it if youre interested. The Y pipe is stainless also.

The 1 3/4 primary's work great (i believe pacesetters are 1 3/4 primaries correct me if i am wrong). I was just wondering since im getting new headers would it net me any more gains to get 1 7/8 primaries or stick with the 1 3/4?

Yes i love my circle D stall. Its a little too loose for my cam only 5.3l for now but its a lot of fun to drive. Its at a 4c style converter right now making it a 4000-4200 stall... im getting it tightened down to a 3600-3800 stall size.

I wouldn't be surprised if those are actually 1 5/8" headers just like all the other ones shipped over from china.

Aren't the LPP and OBX headers 2.5" collectors?
