*as title*

ive read alot on forums that its a common problem has anyone had it? my friends G8 just had that problem at 43k miles, he bought it used from a dealer a month ago with 39k miles on it.. im assuming it either has the same failure everyone is having or the previous owner had a centri blower with a pcv problem.

If it has a PCV problem then it definitely will leak at the rear main seal first. If you build too much crankcase pressure the rear main is the first place to leak!

as for now it does not have a pcv problem cause its stock.. but im assuming the previous owner had a centri blower installed and it was boosting the crankcase so it was just a matter of time

Mine was just replaced at 55k miles but it was mainly the sealant that was not working versus the actual seal if that makes sense. During the converter swap it was just a $25 fix.
