good sounding muffler to run with no cats?

im pretty much ready to do exhaust on my truck and i want it loud. im definately going with no cats but i want it to sound good. i want a muffler that sounds good while being dumped under the truck. a little rasp is ok by me :) .

I got a Flowmaster dumped before the axle but the magnaflow sounds alot better imo.

put a bullet in front of any muffler you choose. you'll thank me later.

The LMI will be crazy loud (ie annnoyingly loud) w/ no cats.

So then try out the lm2

what is the difference between the LM1 and LM2?

outlawz2004 03-04-2008 09:27 AM

The lm1 is empty inside, the lm2 has a packing similar to a glass pack muffler. I had the one on my truck without cats, pretty loud but tolerable. With long tubes it got really really loud and a whole lot of popping. I got a lot of good feedback on the sound, but in town driving you had to baby it and when passing someone otherwise you would scare them when you hammered it. I added a cutout and some resonated tips to have the best of both worlds.
