on a boosted motor i would go with better springs than the yellows. the patriot golds seem to work well.

Great, thanks for the info, didn't know how much play in the lifters were possible, do you still tighten the rockers to 22 ft lbs? Do you have to worry about rocker alignment on the valves, assuming when you install them the lifters aren't fully loaded/pumped up.......does it affect oil pressure?

Valve geometry doesn't change at all, the slack is all made up in the lifter, still the same torque on the rocker bolts. Oil pressure doesn't change, there is just a little more oil in the lifter cus the lifter piston is .025 higher in the travel range. Preload is just fine there. As soon as there is oil pressure the lifter adjustment is set. That's how Hydraulic lifter work,

any update on the swap? i think i read somewhere that you dont need the LS7 sprocket for a 4.8 in the NNBS? but i could be wrong, dont quote me...

got to remove timing cover,i will find out if i need the sprocket in about 10 minutes after i eat.
