Going with z06 cam,got some questions...

Default Going with z06 cam,got some questions...

OK IM IN TE PROCESS OF PURCHASINGA 02-04 LS6 CAM FOR MY 08'BLOWN 4.8,GOT A COUPLE OF Q'S THOUGH.

1,AM I GOING TO NEED PUSHRODS?IF SO WHAT SIZE?
2.WHAT ABOUT SPRINGS?
3.WHAT NUMBERS AM I LOOKING AT IN HORSEPOWER DIFFERENCE?
4.WILL THIS SWAP AFFECT BOOST?
5.AM I GOING TO NEED THE LS7 CAM SPROCKET SINCE IT BEING A NNBS?I HEARD GUYS CHANGING THAT FOR SOME REASON?

1. yes, not sure, Z06 cam has differnent base circle so you need different size pushrods i think
2. yes, yellow Z06 springs at least

5. yes, it has the cam sensor in it and will bolt to the old style camshafts.

I think he needs something other than 7.4" pushrods because the base circle on the Z06 cam is different than other LSx cams.

yeah, i did some searches and you want 7.425" pushrods.

If your buying pushrods then get the 7.425's, but stock push rods will work fine with that cam. I think, don't quote me on this, but some of the new motors use only 1 bolt to hold on the cam gear on, so you would need the ls7 sprocket for it 3 bolt pattern and front cam sensor. It is a VERY good boost cam.
